A California grocery tool built for health-conscious shoppers who are tired of guessing.
Aislewise exists to bring transparency to grocery shopping. We believe every shopper deserves to know exactly what is in their food, how it compares across stores, and whether the price they are paying reflects real nutritional value — not just marketing.
We score every product honestly — rewarding whole foods, clean ingredients, and fair pricing. We do not accept payment from brands or stores to influence rankings. What you see is what we actually think.
What Aislewise does
We score over 2,500 products across 14 California grocery stores — from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods to Erewhon, Berkeley Bowl, Ralphs, 99 Ranch, and more — covering the Bay Area, Westside LA, and Orange County.
Every product receives a Health Score based on three pillars, and a Value Score that tells you how much nutrition you are getting per dollar spent. Our goal is to make the healthiest choice also the most informed choice.
How health scores are calculated
Organic certification, absence of artificial dyes, ultra-processed oils, or harmful additives. A product with 3 clean ingredients scores near 100.
Protein, fiber, added sugar, sodium, and saturated fat per serving scored against category benchmarks.
Based on the NOVA classification. Single-ingredient whole foods score 90+. Long ingredient lists with emulsifiers score lower.
Stores we cover
Our commitment to transparency
- We do not accept payment from any brand or retailer to influence scores or rankings
- Our scoring methodology is publicly documented and applied consistently to every product
- Prices are sourced manually from store websites and updated regularly
- We flag our own uncertainty — if a product's data is incomplete, we say so
- Premium features are paid by users, not advertisers
